Robbery at credit company in Hohenau under investigation

National Police are investigating an armed robbery that targeted a credit company in Hohenau, Paraguay. The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4:52 p.m. at the 'Crediagil' offices located in the town's microcenter.

Two assailants, traveling on a motorcycle, entered the premises. According to reports, they brandished a firearm, threatened the employees, and proceeded to steal cash and a cellphone. Security camera footage shows the suspects were dressed in black and wore protective helmets during the commission of the crime.

Employees present during the robbery included Elson Milciades Olivera Paredes, 42; Roque René Ramírez Benítez, 27; Derlis Andrés Bogado Sosa, 25; and Fernando Samuel Amarilla Britez, 23. Roque Ramírez, the branch manager, stated that the perpetrators arrived on a black "cobrador" type motorcycle and used the firearm to intimidate the staff.

The stolen items included approximately 2,300,000 Paraguayan Guaranis (G.) from the company's daily collection, along with one mobile phone. Agents from the 12th Police Station responded to the scene and have notified technical personnel from the Investigations and Criminalistics departments. The case has also been reported to prosecutor Rodrigo Lepretti of the Penal Unit No. 1 in Colonias Unidas.
