Robot waiter demands raises, agitates human staff, owner says

A restaurant in Turkey has introduced a robot waiter, named Fiko, which has become a significant draw for customers, particularly families with children. The owner, Sungur Deligözoğlu, brought the robot to Turkey after seeing similar technology in China, hoping to attract attention and business.

Fiko reportedly interacts with customers, especially children, and has even been observed dancing. However, the robot is also humorously depicted as demanding. Deligözoğlu jokingly states that Fiko constantly asks for raises and more time off, saying, "Boss, give me a raise, give me a raise." The robot is said to have a salary and receives one day off per week.

Deligözoğlu notes that while Fiko brings joy and novelty to the restaurant, it sometimes "agitates" the human staff by its demands. Despite these humorous complaints, the robot's presence has generated considerable customer interest, with many visiting specifically to see Fiko in action. The owner sees Fiko as a source of amusement and a successful marketing tool.
