Romania weather: Near-normal temperatures with fog advisory in Timiș

Romania is set for a day of near-seasonal temperatures on June 16, with the National Meteorological Administration forecasting maximums between 21 and 30 degrees Celsius across the country. While most areas will experience variable skies, there's a chance of temporary cloud build-up in the afternoon and evening.

Isolated showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and brief wind gusts, are possible in mountainous regions and the northern and central parts of the country. These conditions may extend to other areas sporadically. Nighttime lows will range from a cool 3 degrees Celsius in eastern Transylvanian depressions to 19 degrees Celsius along the coast.

Meanwhile, a yellow code fog warning has been issued for low-lying areas of Timiș county, valid until 9 AM. This alert indicates reduced visibility, locally below 200 meters and in some spots below 50 meters, prompting recommendations for caution while driving. The affected areas include Timișoara, Lugoj, and several other towns and communes within the county.

In the capital, Bucharest, the weather will also be close to the seasonal average. Highs are expected to reach 27-28 degrees Celsius, with lows between 14 and 16 degrees. Variable cloudiness is anticipated, with a possibility of showers and thunderstorms during the day. The wind will be light to moderate.
