Romanian Post and Temu Sign Delivery Partnership for Local Merchants

Romanian merchants selling on Temu will gain access to a nationwide delivery network under a new memorandum signed by Poșta Română and the e-commerce platform.

The postal operator will provide an integrated parcel service covering collection from merchants, sorting at logistics centers in Romania and last-mile delivery. Customers will be able to receive orders at home, use pickup points and automated lockers, or collect parcels from post offices across the country.

Poșta Română said the agreement should simplify order processing and delivery for local companies while improving the customer shopping experience. The two companies also plan to hold joint events for Romanian businesses on Temu and meet regularly to review the partnership and improve delivery services.

Temu entered the Romanian market in July 2023. Romanian companies have been able to register and sell on the platform since March 2025 through its Local Seller program, which is now available in more than 35 countries. A Temu spokesperson said four out of five small European businesses do not sell online because of complexity, costs and a lack of information. The partnership, the spokesperson said, would offer reliable logistics and new growth opportunities.

Temu operates in more than 90 markets. Poșta Română, owned by the Romanian state through the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalisation and Fondul Proprietatea, has more than 5,000 postal units and distributes over 11 million postal items each week.
