Royal family's national holiday fashion: Elisabeth in white, Delphine in fuchsia

Belgium's royal family marked the national holiday with a display of sartorial choices, ranging from elegant to eye-catching.

Queen Mathilde graced the occasion in a beige dress by Belgian designer Natan, crafted from raffia embroidery on a tulle skirt. She paired it with sober yet elegant accessories, including Dior pumps and a clutch, but her Fabienne Delvigne hat, made from hand-woven balibuntal fabric, truly commanded attention. The queen herself admitted the hat was "not really practical," as she was seen struggling with it in the wind during the parade.

Crown Princess Elisabeth presented a refined look in a white CH Carolina Herrera A-line dress, accessorized with earrings from her mother's collection and a white banana fiber hat from the same designer. However, for the military parade, she made a swift change into an air force uniform, a tradition she has followed for three consecutive years.

Princess Éléonore, the youngest royal, wore a light blue dress with beige kitten heels and a straw headband, described as an "entry-level hat" likely preparing her for more ceremonial headwear in the future. Her earrings were also borrowed from her mother.

Stealing much of the spotlight was Princess Delphine, King Filip's half-sister. She appeared in a vibrant fuchsia dress by Belgian designer Bert De Coninck, complemented by long white gloves, white block heels, and a deep décolletage, making a bold fashion statement.
