RTL announces 'Specijalisti Zagreb,' new crime series premiering September 7

RTL Croatia is launching a new crime drama series, 'Specijalisti Zagreb,' on September 7, promising a fresh take on the genre. The show centers on four police inspectors, each with unique personalities, who tackle a new case every week. Their individual storylines will develop throughout the season, adding depth to the procedural elements.

The series aims to blend humor with serious criminal investigations, reflecting the realities of daily life in Croatia. The setting of contemporary Zagreb plays a significant role, with the city's rich historical and architectural tapestry, from Austro-Hungarian buildings in the Lower Town to the brutalist housing blocks of New Zagreb, providing a distinct visual backdrop for each episode.

The main cast features Peđa Gvozdić as chief inspector Zoran, a seasoned veteran with keen intuition; Vini Jurčić as inspector Ana, the team's emotional anchor and moral compass; Toni Gojanović as inspector Luka, a brilliant analyst who struggles with interpersonal dynamics; and Ivan Barišić as inspector Toni, a fiery newcomer from USKOK with a mysterious past.

Directed by Filip Heraković and Filip Mojzeš, known for their strong visual storytelling, and penned by experienced screenwriters Nikola Kuprešanin and Pavo Marinković, the series is produced by Christoph Mainusch, Ivo Grahor, and Heike Richter-Karst.
