Rummana Season opens in Jabal Akhdar, offers sustainable farm tourism experience

Jabal Akhdar, Oman's Green Mountain, has launched the fourth edition of its "Rummana" season, offering a unique agricultural tourism experience designed to connect visitors with the region's natural bounty and cultural heritage. The seasonal event, held at Janain Farm in the village of Saih Qatna, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, will run until September 2026.

Organized by Tibi Company and Janain Agricultural Tourism Development Company in collaboration with Omran Group, the "Rummana" season invites visitors to immerse themselves in the harvest. Attendees can directly pick fresh figs and pomegranates from the trees, experiencing the peak of the fruit-bearing season. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to foster sustainable agricultural tourism, bolster rural communities, and maximize the utilization of Jabal Akhdar's rich agricultural resources.

The event features a diverse range of attractions beyond fruit picking. A plant nursery highlights indigenous Omani plant species, while a dedicated heritage corner showcases traditional local products. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments at a café and purchase fresh produce directly from the mountain at a special platform.
