Discussions have surfaced within WhatsApp groups associated with Fiesp, the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, where Cristina herself presides over the Agribusiness Council (Cosag). Jacyr Costa, Fiesp's financial director and Cristina's predecessor as Cosag president, initiated the conversation, expressing support for her presidential bid. Other group members have echoed these sentiments, with some urging her to run. Cristina, who previously served as Minister of Agriculture under Jair Bolsonaro, is reportedly considering the move, stating that her party's endorsement, specifically from the Progressistas (PP), is crucial. However, the PP party is reportedly leaning towards neutrality in the presidential election, leaving Cristina's path to candidacy uncertain. Earlier this month, a qualitative survey was commissioned by a group of rural producers and businessmen to gauge public reception to her potential presidential run.
