Russia downs over 150 Ukrainian drones across 18 regions and seas

Russia's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 153 Ukrainian drones overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The aerial assault targeted 17 Russian regions, the annexed Crimean peninsula, and the Black and Azov Seas.

While the night was described as relatively calm, the border region of Belgorod experienced a significant attack. Local authorities reported 13 injuries, including two children. One four-year-old boy was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to the chest. Explosions from downed drones in the regional capital caused fires in two cars, four buildings, and a private residence, along with administrative and social buildings.

In Novorossiysk, a city on the Black Sea coast, falling debris from destroyed drones impacted two local businesses and a home. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in this incident, according to the city's mayor, Andrei Kravchenko.

Authorities in the Russian region of Bashkiria also reported that Ukrainian drones attempted to strike local industrial facilities in Ufa, the regional capital. One drone reportedly hit a building under construction, igniting a fire, but again, no victims were reported.
