Russia says it attacked drone plants in Kyiv

Russia's Ministry of Defense announced Sunday that its forces struck drone manufacturing and assembly plants in Kyiv the previous night. According to the ministry's statement, a Ukrainian-American company was producing as many as 1,000 unmanned aerial vehicles at the targeted facilities in the Ukrainian capital.

In addition to the strikes in Kyiv, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that several fuel storage tanks designated for the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit during the night in the port of Chornomorsk, located in the Odesa region. These actions follow President Vladimir Putin's earlier assertion that Russian forces would deliver significant blows to Ukraine in retaliation for Kyiv's attacks on Russian rear areas.

According to the military report, a Ukrainian-American company manufactured up to a thousand unmanned vehicles in the plants attacked in Kyiv.

These retaliatory strikes come after a week of heightened Ukrainian attacks that have impacted at least seven warehouses belonging to a major e-commerce company in Russia. The ongoing conflict sees both sides escalating their military actions and targeting critical infrastructure.
