Russian attack on Kyiv arms exhibition kills 10, injures 100; probe launched

At least ten people died and nearly 100 were injured in a Russian attack on a military training ground on the outskirts of Kyiv. The strike occurred while Ukrainian weapons manufacturers were gathered for an arms exhibition, according to the latest figures from Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko.

Kravchenko announced an investigation into the incident, seeking to determine if organizers took sufficient safety precautions for such a gathering during wartime. "The war does not exempt from responsibility for organizational decisions," he stated via Telegram.

Representatives from Ukraine's military industry confirmed that the Russian attack targeted the training ground during the event. This incident echoes a previous attack on August 19, 2023, when a Russian strike hit the theater in Chernihiv during a drone manufacturers' meeting and operator workshop, resulting in seven deaths and approximately 150 injuries.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack on his social media channels but did not provide specific details about the target's nature.
