San Ignacio: Masked Suspect Steals Friday's Takings from Ice Cream Shop

An ice cream shop in San Ignacio, Misiones, was robbed late Friday night by a masked assailant. The incident occurred at the Amandau heladería shortly before midnight, as captured by the establishment's security cameras. The suspect, wearing a cap and a hooded jacket, entered the premises while the cashier was occupied with her phone.

According to police reports, the robber initially tried to access a drawer that was not the cash register. When he found no money there, he reportedly grabbed the cashier and demanded she open the main register. After she complied, the assailant took the entire cash collection, estimated by police to be around 800,000 Argentine pesos, before quickly escaping the scene.

The National Police received the report and immediately launched a search operation. Agents from the Department of Criminal Investigations are also involved, as they have gathered some initial clues regarding the suspect's characteristics. However, the perpetrator's face was obscured by the cap and hood, and he avoided looking directly at the security cameras, making identification difficult.

The case has been communicated to the Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the robbery.
