Šaras and Fenerbahçe one step away from another Turkish championship title

Coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius and his team, Fenerbahçe, are one victory away from clinching their third consecutive Turkish championship title. Should they win the upcoming fourth game of the finals series, the Istanbul club would achieve a remarkable feat, mirroring the success of legendary coach Željko Obradović, who led Fenerbahçe to three consecutive Turkish championships from 2016 to 2018.

Despite trailing by four points after the first quarter of their recent match against Beşiktaş (19:23), Fenerbahçe rallied in the second quarter. They outscored their opponents 24-17 to take a slim three-point lead into halftime (43:40). The team demonstrated resilience, bouncing back after losing the first game of the finals (80:88).

If Šaras and Fenerbahçe win the fourth game, the Istanbul club will become Turkish champion for the third season in a row.

In a pivotal moment, Fenerbahçe secured a decisive victory (93:68) on Monday, even with coach Jasikevičius being ejected for two technical fouls. Key performers in that game included Nicolo Melli, who recorded 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Devon Hall with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Talen Horton-Tucker contributed 13 points and 7 rebounds, while Khem Birch added 11 points and 5 rebounds.

The fourth and potentially decisive game is scheduled to take place on Friday at Beşiktaş's home arena, tipping off at 8:00 PM. Beşiktaş's top scorers in the previous game were Anthony Brown with 22 points (6/8 three-pointers) and Devonas Dotson with 22 points (5/7 two-pointers), alongside Connor Morgan's 8 points.
