Saudi Arabia, Bahrain Discuss US-Iran Negotiations

Saudi Arabia has launched a new initiative aimed at strengthening the digital skills of 500 Yemeni teachers across five governorates: Aden, Abyan, Hadramawt, Al-Mahra, and Socotra. The project, named "Digital Empowerment for Yemeni Teachers," is being implemented by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) in partnership with King Abdulaziz University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

The program employs a blended training approach, combining in-person instruction with remote learning via videoconferencing. This method allows teachers from the targeted governorates to participate effectively. The curriculum focuses on integrating digital technologies into teaching practices, improving educational content, and enhancing instructional methods to keep pace with rapid technological advancements.

This initiative is part of SDRPY's broader commitment to human development, viewing education as a fundamental pillar for sustainable development and institutional capacity building. The training includes two main tracks: one focusing on artificial intelligence applications and AI-generated content for developing teaching materials, and another on digital instructional design to create interactive content and increase student engagement.

The project is expected to expand the use of digital solutions in Yemeni schools and educational institutions. It builds upon SDRPY's previous contributions to Yemen's education sector, which include constructing and equipping schools, developing universities, and establishing colleges and institutes. Since its inception, SDRPY has completed 287 projects and initiatives across eight key sectors in Yemen, aiming to foster stability and improve essential services.
