Saudi Arabia's Fog Walk: A Summer Oasis Above the Clouds

Perched more than 2,400 meters above sea level, the Fog Walk in Al-Namas governorate has become a premier tourist attraction in Saudi Arabia's Asir region. This destination draws thousands of visitors, particularly during the summer, thanks to its mild climate and breathtaking panoramic vistas. The 7-kilometer walkway winds along a scenic route, offering expansive views of the western slopes of the Sarawat Mountains and the Tihama plains.

The area boasts a comfortable summer climate, with temperatures rarely exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, dropping to cooler levels in the evenings. This makes it an appealing choice for families, hikers, sports enthusiasts, and photographers. The walkway is equipped with comprehensive infrastructure, including wide paths for walking and sports, rest areas, and nighttime lighting. It also features diverse services, such as food carts, cafes serving local beverages, and stalls operated by local families selling regional products like honey, ghee, traditional foods, and handicrafts.
