Saudi foreign minister discusses Middle East issues with German-Arab parliamentary group chair

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held talks in Berlin with Alexander Radwan, chair of the German-Arab Parliamentary Relations Group in the German Bundestag, and several members of parliament, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the meeting, they reviewed Saudi-German relations and exchanged views on major issues and challenges facing the Middle East. They also discussed efforts by Saudi Arabia and partner countries to pursue comprehensive, just and peaceful solutions to regional crises.

Prince Faisal separately met German Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche. Their talks focused on bilateral economic relations and opportunities to expand trade and investment, while making use of both countries’ capabilities in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The discussions also highlighted energy cooperation, including energy security and sustainability. The sides stressed the need to strengthen supply-chain resilience and ensure the security of waterways and freedom of commercial navigation, with the aim of limiting the effects of current crises and supporting energy markets and the global economy.
