Sayyid Badr meets Oman’s honorary consuls

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, met a group of the country’s honorary consuls in Salalah, in Dhofar Governorate.

The meeting highlighted the consuls’ role in supporting Oman’s friendship and cooperation ties with other countries. Discussions also covered opportunities for economic and commercial partnerships, along with cultural and scientific exchange.

Al Busaidi stressed the importance of maintaining engagement with the honorary consuls and drawing on their networks and expertise to promote human and civilizational communication between peoples and cultures.

The Foreign Ministry arranged an introductory programme on Dhofar Governorate, including its capabilities and opportunities across various sectors. The meeting was attended by honorary consuls accredited to countries and cities including Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Italy, Türkiye, Spain, Rwanda, Mongolia, Botswana and India, as well as Sheikh Khalid bin Hashel Al Muselhi, the ministry’s undersecretary for administrative and financial affairs.
