Scientific Dialogue on Nomadic Civilizations to Convene at World Nomad Games

Kyrgyzstan is set to host a significant international scientific conference focused on nomadic civilizations on September 3rd, coinciding with the VI World Nomad Games. This academic forum, to be held in the Issyk-Kul region, aims to convene global researchers and experts to delve into the rich historical legacy, philosophy, culture, traditions, and contemporary evolution of nomadic societies.

The conference is envisioned as a vital international platform for open academic discourse, the sharing of cutting-edge research, and the strengthening of cooperative ties between research institutions worldwide. According to the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations, the event is designed to advance 'nomadology' as a modern, interdisciplinary field of study and to build a global research network dedicated to understanding nomadic civilizations.

Distinguished scholars, researchers, and representatives from international organizations, universities, and scientific centers across roughly 30 nations are expected to attend. Participants will hail from countries including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Turkey, and the United States, among others. The discussions will cover pressing issues related to the study of nomadic civilizations, their historical and cultural significance, philosophical underpinnings, traditional practices, and values.

A key focus will be placed on enhancing international scientific cooperation, fostering joint research projects, facilitating academic exchanges, and forging new connections among researchers and institutions globally. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Kurmanjan Datka Center for Nomadic Civilizations in Ornok village, promising a rich exchange of knowledge and perspectives on the enduring legacy of nomadic cultures.
