Search for missing teacher continues for second week in Kaišiadorys

An intensive search is underway in Kaišiadorys, Lithuania, for a missing English teacher, V. Ladienė, who disappeared on July 31. Her family reported her missing on August 2 after she left a friend's home in the Žaslių street area around noon and did not return.

According to Kristina Miškauskaitė, a spokesperson for the Kaunas County Police, an active search began on Sunday but has so far been unsuccessful. Ladienė is described as 166 cm tall, with a slender build, shoulder-length blonde hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a greenish suit, loose trousers with a transparent stripe, a short-sleeved blouse, a dark blue shirt, a white hat, and light pink sneakers.

Ladienė reportedly has unclear speech and disorientation. She was carrying a small black backpack or handbag. Police suspect she may have traveled towards Kaunas by train on Friday. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance camera footage from the city and awaiting information from railway officials.
