Search for survivors continues in Nepal as flood death toll rises

Nepal’s rescue services continued searching for possible survivors on Saturday, more than a week after a devastating flood struck the Himalayas.

The search continued after two workers were rescued on Friday from a tunnel buried under debris at the Trishuli 3A hydroelectric plant. The two had remained trapped there since the disaster.

A military representative said rescue teams were still looking for people who may have survived the natural disaster. The search proceeded as the number of victims continued to increase.
