Selangor FC starts Super League season with dominant 4-1 win over KRW FC

Selangor FC began their 2026/2027 Super League campaign with a convincing 4-1 victory over Kelantan Red Warrior FC (KRW FC) at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.

The match highlighted a clear disparity in quality and experience between the two teams. Selangor, managed by Kim Pangon, controlled the game from the outset, consistently threatening the KRW FC goal. Their dominance was rewarded in the 17th minute when Chigor Moraes headed in the opening goal after a well-placed cross. Mohamad Faisal Abdul Halim extended Selangor's lead to 2-0 in the 27th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse by KRW FC.

Selangor continued their offensive pressure in the second half. Mohamad Faisal scored his second goal in the 49th minute, further solidifying their control. Although KRW FC managed to pull one back through Philip Dandada Musa in the 60th minute, Moraes sealed Selangor's emphatic win with his second goal in the 75th minute, securing three points for his team.
