Senator Dickson Appoints Spokesperson, Strengthens Political Team

Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, the National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and senator representing Bayelsa West, has announced a series of appointments designed to bolster his political and administrative machinery.

Among the key appointments is Steve Nwosu, former Editor of Sun News Papers, who will serve as Senator Dickson's spokesperson. Additionally, Sani Takori and VinMartin Obiora Ilo have been appointed to significant positions within Dickson's political and administrative team. These appointments, effective immediately, are intended to enhance the operational efficiency, administrative effectiveness, and strategic communication efforts for both Senator Dickson and the NDC party.

Steve Nwosu is a seasoned journalist and media administrator with over 30 years of experience across print, broadcasting, and online platforms. He has held prominent roles at The Guardian and THISDAY newspapers, including Political Editor and Editor of Saturday Sun and Daily Sun. Nwosu also served as Deputy Managing Director and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of THE SUN before co-founding The Nigerian Xpress Newspaper. He is currently the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Edibofa Communication and Publishing Limited, overseeing media outlets such as People’s FM and Universal Television Africa.

Sani Takori, a lawyer by training, brings a wealth of experience in public administration, having served in various capacities in Sokoto and Zamfara states, including Registrar, Magistrate, Solicitor-General, and Attorney-General. The NDC, under Dickson's leadership, is positioning itself as the leading opposition party and the fastest-growing political entity in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
