Seoul International Fireworks Festival Set for September 5 with Enhanced Safety

The Hanwha Seoul International Fireworks Festival is set to illuminate the night sky over Yeouido Hangang Park on September 5th. This year's event promises enhanced safety management, a key focus for organizers Hanwha.

Moving the festival to early September, from its usual late September slot, is a strategic decision aimed at capitalizing on the Chuseok holiday period and attracting more international tourists. This adjustment seeks to bolster the festival's standing as a global cultural tourism event.

Spectators can anticipate dazzling displays from three participating nations: South Korea, represented by Hanwha, alongside teams from the United States and the United Kingdom. Each team will showcase fireworks performances reflecting their national characteristics and artistic techniques.

In response to potential crowd concerns, Hanwha is implementing unprecedented safety measures. A total of 4,700 personnel, including 1,200 Hanwha employee volunteers, will be deployed for safety and order management. The festival will also utilize the real-time crowd management system 'Orange Safety' in collaboration with telecommunication companies to monitor and disperse crowds effectively.
