Serbia Provides Housing Support to 250 Refugee Families This Year

The Serbian Commissariat for Refugees and Migration (SCRM) has successfully provided housing assistance to 250 refugee and internally displaced families throughout Serbia since the start of 2026. This significant effort highlights the state's ongoing dedication to supporting vulnerable populations.

According to a press release, these housing initiatives are designed to ensure safer and more dignified living conditions for families in need. The SCRM works in close partnership with various cities and municipalities across the country to implement diverse programs aimed at securing permanent housing solutions.

Nataša Stanisavljević, the Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, stated that the provision of housing support to 250 families this year demonstrates the effectiveness of the state's comprehensive and responsible policies. She emphasized that the positive results of these policies are reaching people across Serbia.

The Commissariat affirmed its commitment to continuing these support programs, fostering collaboration with local government units to further assist refugee and displaced families in finding stable housing.
