Serbian citizen arrested in Kotor: Drove boat drunk, caused collision

Montenegrin police arrested a Serbian citizen in Kotor on suspicion of causing a boating collision while under the influence of alcohol. The incident, which occurred around 10:20 PM in the Bay of Kotor approximately 250 meters from the shore, involved two vessels.

The Serbian national, identified as B.C., was operating one of the boats with nine passengers aboard. The second vessel was captained by I.S. from Kotor, accompanied by four passengers. As a result of the collision, I.S. and all four passengers on his boat sustained minor injuries.

Authorities conducted alcohol and substance tests on both drivers. The tests confirmed that B.C. was operating his vessel while intoxicated. Police stated that further measures are being taken in cooperation with maritime inspectors and the state prosecutor's office to determine the exact cause of the maritime accident.

The Serbian citizen faces criminal charges for allegedly endangering public traffic due to his alleged actions. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
