Settlers Injure Foreign Activist in West Bank Home Assault

Israeli settlers attacked the Bedouin community of Arab al-Kaabne, northeast of Ramala in the West Bank, on Friday, assaulting a home and injuring a foreign activist. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the settlers attacked citizens and foreign solidarity activists, causing bruises to the activist's face and head after a brutal beating.

This attack marks the second in less than 24 hours targeting the small community. On Thursday night, another settler assault injured three members of Naif Kaabne's family, and Israeli authorities arrested one of them, Suleiman Kaabne. The Palestinian human rights organization Al-Baidar stated that settlers entered homes with their livestock under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

Al-Baidar highlighted that these aggressions are part of an escalation of settler attacks against Palestinian communities east of Ramala, particularly those facing eviction attempts by Israeli groups. The organization noted that settlers have recently resorted to raiding homes, accompanied by their livestock and under the protection of Israeli forces.

In a separate incident on Friday in the nearby town of Turmusaya, Israeli authorities reportedly beat and used stun grenades against 80-year-old Khamis Rabi Jabara. According to Al-Baidar, he sustained head injuries and contusions and is receiving hospital treatment.
