Seven official matters you can handle from your phone

Poland's mObywatel mobile application is transforming how citizens interact with government services, enabling them to manage seven key official matters directly from their smartphones.

One of the app's core features is the "Personal Mailbox" (Skrzynka osobista), which provides real-time access to correspondence from government agencies and other entities using the e-Doręczenia system. Users can view, respond to, and forward important official mail, ensuring they stay informed about critical matters regardless of their location, whether on vacation in the mountains or visiting family.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, the app simplifies business registration through its "Company" (Firma) service. New business owners can complete the CEIDG-1 application form within the app, specifying company details like name, tax method, and business activity codes (PKD). The app tracks the application status, updating it to "active" once the business is registered, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on growth.

Existing business owners can also manage their company's status, including suspending or resuming operations, with options for indefinite or time-limited suspension. The app facilitates easy management of company representatives and proxies. Furthermore, mObywatel supports digital signatures, offering both personal and qualified digital signatures through an e-ID. This functionality allows users to sign digital documents, reducing reliance on paper and streamlining administrative processes.
