Seventeen Adds Another 'Million' Certification from Japan Record Association, Most by Any K-Pop Artist

South Korean K-pop sensation Seventeen has achieved a significant milestone in the Japanese music market, earning their fourth 'Million' certification from the Japan Record Association. This latest accomplishment, for their Japanese best-of album "Always Yours," makes Seventeen the K-pop artist with the most 'Million' certifications in Japan.

The Japan Record Association awards 'Million' certification to albums that achieve cumulative shipments of 1 million units. "Always Yours" reached this benchmark, adding to Seventeen's impressive collection of accolades in the country. Previously, their Japanese EP "Dream," 10th mini-album "FML," and 11th mini-album "Seventeenth Heaven" had also received the prestigious certification.

According to Hybe Japan, this record-breaking achievement positions Seventeen at the forefront of K-pop artists in Japan. The album "Always Yours," released in 2023, also topped the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and the Weekly Combined Album Ranking upon its release. It further secured the fifth position on the Oricon Annual Ranking for 2023, demonstrating sustained popularity.

Seventeen expressed their gratitude through their agency, Pledis Entertainment. "We are thankful and honored to receive such happy news," the group stated. "We will continue to show you diverse activities." The group is also actively pursuing individual and unit activities, with members like Dino recently releasing a solo album under his alter ego 'Pi-cheolin,' following the promotions of the unit V8 (The8 and Vernon).
