Sevilla and Bournemouth negotiate transfer of Olympic champion Juanlu to English club

Spanish football club Sevilla and England's Bournemouth are nearing an agreement for the transfer of right-back Juan Luis Sánchez, known as Juanlu. Sources close to the operation indicate that Sevilla is set to receive approximately 14 million euros for the player, a significant sum that could increase further based on collective and individual performance objectives.

Adding to the financial terms, Sevilla will retain 20% of Juanlu's future transfer rights, potentially securing additional revenue down the line. The 22-year-old player, who was part of Spain's Olympic gold medal-winning squad in Paris 2024, is currently with the Sevilla squad in the Netherlands. He awaits the finalization of his contract with Bournemouth, which is expected to be for four seasons.

Juanlu has been a product of Sevilla's youth academy, making his first-team debut in the 2021-2022 season. After a loan spell at Mirandés, he returned to Sevilla in 2023. Over three seasons with the senior team, he played over a hundred official matches, contributing six goals and eleven assists. His move to the Premier League represents a significant step in his career, transitioning from La Liga to one of Europe's top leagues.
