Shakira Sings 'Dai Dai,' Official 2026 World Cup Song, in Five Languages

Global music superstar Shakira has unveiled the Spanish version of "Dai Dai," the official anthem for the 2026 World Cup. The song, a collaboration with Nigerian artist Burna Boy, was announced by Shakira on her Instagram account.

"Dai Dai" was initially released in May, prior to the tournament's commencement. The track is a multilingual production, featuring vocals in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Japanese. The title itself is derived from an Italian colloquialism used for encouragement, translating to "let's go, let's go."

Shakira and Burna Boy performed the song during the championship's opening ceremony on June 11 in Mexico City. They later reprised their performance during the halftime show of the final match, held in the United States, accompanied by the Ugandan dance group Ghetto Kids.

Notably, the copyright proceeds generated from "Dai Dai" are dedicated to FIFA's Global Fund for Education. This initiative aims to raise $100 million to ensure children across the globe gain access to both education and the sport of football.
