Sharjah announces temporary traffic diversion for Etihad Rail Station project

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced a temporary traffic diversion between the University City area and the Institutes Land area in Sharjah. This measure is part of an ongoing road project designed to provide access to the Etihad Rail Station, with the broader goals of enhancing local infrastructure and improving traffic flow within the emirate.

The diversion is scheduled to be in effect for a significant period, starting on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and concluding on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The SRTA has indicated that alternative routes have been mapped out and will be clearly displayed to guide motorists during this time.

Road users are strongly urged by the SRTA to adhere to the approved diversion plans and utilize the designated alternative routes.
