A Swedish woman, referred to as Anna, is recovering after being shot in the chest while walking through Lisbon's bustling tourist area. The incident occurred during a busy summer day, and despite the serious injury, she survived with the bullet remaining in her body. Doctors have told her she had guardian angels watching over her.

Anna described the moment of the shooting, hearing a loud bang and feeling a sensation like a hard ping pong ball hitting her chest. Initially thinking it might be a firework or even a terrorist attack, she and her friend fled the scene. It was only after taking refuge in a restaurant that she realized she had been shot. Despite the shock, Anna maintained a surprising composure, drawing on safety training from her profession. She directed a waiter to apply pressure to her wound, ensured her friend received water, and asked for an ambulance.

It became fear, panic, and people got up and ran. I heard a loud bang and felt what I can describe as a hard ping pong ball hitting my chest. I knew I had been hit by something, but I thought it was a mini-rocket or something.

"It hurt when I was hit, but it was so sudden. Then it started to burn as the adrenaline wore off," Anna recounted. She explained her calm demeanor was a conscious effort to prevent further panic. At the hospital, she even joked with staff, who confirmed the bullet had entered her chest without damaging any vital organs. The bullet remains in her body, as doctors typically advise against removing it unless necessary. Anna acknowledges the need for psychological support to process the surreal experience.

"I feel, wow, I had guardian angel protection. I can't even be angry or sad, I'm just grateful," she stated.
