Shinhan University delegation hosts K-Culture model contest in Mongolia

Shinhan University's K-Culture delegation successfully hosted the '2026 Shinhanryu Super Rookie Model Contest' finals on June 9th in Mongolia's capital, Ulaanbaatar. The event took place at Sukhbaatar Square, in front of the State Palace, bringing together local talent and showcasing Korean culture. The contest was designed to foster cultural exchange and provide a platform for aspiring models in Mongolia.

A panel of judges, comprising Mongolian cultural and artistic figures alongside Shinhan University faculty, selected the 'super rookie' models from the local pool. Adding to the cultural exchange aspect, the event featured vibrant performances that highlighted Korean culture, including K-pop dance routines and Taekwondo demonstrations. Shinhan University reported a large turnout of spectators and significant positive reception from local cultural and arts professionals.

This event is part of Shinhan University's ongoing commitment to international engagement. The university has been actively participating in global events, including a peace trip to Tsushima Island, Japan, commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Japan, and the Avignon International Festival in France last month. Looking ahead, Shinhan University is scheduled to officially participate in a Korean study abroad fair in Paris, France, in October.
