Sinaloa governor: Senator should prioritize movement over personal ambition

Sinaloa's interim governor, Graciela Domínguez Nava, has responded to Senator Enrique Inzunza Cazarez's decision to declare himself an independent federal legislator. Domínguez stated that Inzunza "should have prioritized the movement" as his position is not a personal matter.

While respecting Inzunza's personal decision to separate from the Morena parliamentary group, Domínguez emphasized that they are all part of a larger political movement. She noted that such instances of legislators becoming independent are not unprecedented in the Federal Legislature.

Domínguez assured that her administration will operate with open doors, fostering inclusivity and listening to all voices regardless of political affiliation. She plans to meet with federal deputies and senators from various political currents, including the newly independent legislator.

Looking ahead, Domínguez announced that an update to the Comprehensive Security and Governance Plan will be presented next week. This plan is being developed in collaboration with federal authorities.
