Sinergi Amil Zakat Distributes Hundreds of Food Aid Packages for Vulnerable Children in Northern Gaza

Sinergi Amil Zakat, through its Sinergi Foundation, has delivered 100 food packages to vulnerable children in northern Gaza, addressing the critical shortage of essential food supplies for survivors of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The aid, distributed on July 16, 2026, targeted orphans, children who have lost one or both parents, individuals with disabilities, and children injured during the conflict. The initiative, part of the 'Wujudkan Anak Ceria' (Realize a Cheerful Child) program, reached beneficiaries in the Al-Quds displacement camp in northern Gaza. Many survivors in the camp live in poverty and face daily food scarcity, with some having lost limbs due to attacks.

Each food package contained essential items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, tomato paste, canned corn, biscuits, canned tuna, chocolate, macaroni, fava beans, feta cheese, tahini, canned pineapple, and tea. These provisions are intended to help meet the nutritional needs of the recipients, particularly the children.

A recipient from northern Gaza conveyed heartfelt thanks: "Syukran Muassasah Sinergi Foundation. Syukran minal qalbi lisya'bi Indonesia." (Thank you to Sinergi Foundation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the people of Indonesia.)

Waeli Mohdan, Director of Sinergi Amil Zakat, emphasized that children are disproportionately affected by the prolonged humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He stated that food aid is an urgent form of support to ensure they have a better chance at development. The 'Wujudkan Anak Ceria' program also provides educational support, school supplies, and social assistance to children in Indonesia and Palestine, aiming to foster hope and a brighter future.
