Singer Lauren Bennett's death investigated as suicide; father criticizes medical care

The international music scene is mourning the sudden death of singer Lauren Bennett, a prominent figure known for her roles in the groups G.R.L. and Paradiso Girls, and her collaboration with LMFAO.

Authorities in the UK, where Bennett was found deceased on May 29, are treating her death as a probable suicide. The investigation is ongoing and is anticipated to be officially concluded by October.

Bennett's father, Richard Bennett, publicly voiced his dissatisfaction with the medical care his daughter received in the months prior to her passing. He stated on social media that Lauren experienced a "severe reaction to a prescription drug" several months before her death. "We have no suspicions about the circumstances of her death. What deeply disappoints us is that, for five months, healthcare professionals and NHS services did not provide her with the proper care when she needed it most," he said.

A private memorial service was held in London about a week and a half ago, attended by relatives and close friends, including former members of G.R.L. and Paradiso Girls, to honor the singer's life. Bennett first gained international recognition in 2011 with LMFAO's hit song "Party Rock Anthem."
