Singer Lim Young-woong donates 200 million won to flood victims in Geoje and Tongyeong

South Korean singer Lim Young-woong and his agency, Fish Music, have donated 200 million won to aid residents affected by recent heavy rainfall in the southern region. The donation was made under the name of his fan club, 'Hero Generation,' to the Love Fruit Community Chest of Korea.

The funds will be channeled through the Love Fruit's '2026 Flood Damage Special Fundraising' initiative. They are designated for emergency relief, temporary housing support, and the restoration of daily life for victims in areas such as Geoje and Tongyeong, which have suffered significant damage.

Lim Young-woong expressed his sympathy for those who lost precious belongings and are enduring anxious times due to the sudden downpour. He hopes for their swift return to a peaceful daily life. This act of generosity continues his consistent philanthropic efforts since 2021, with donations made during birthdays, holidays, and times of disaster.

Including this latest contribution, Lim Young-woong's total donations to Love Fruit have reached 2.5 billion won. When adding a separate 200 million won donation to Korea University Medical Center for his birthday this year, his total charitable giving amounts to approximately 2.7 billion won. The singer's sustained goodwill, amplified by his fans' voluntary participation, serves as an inspiration for a culture of positive giving.

Fans from the flood-affected city of Geoje, under the banner 'Hero Generation Geoje,' also contributed funds to a local welfare foundation to commemorate Lim Young-woong's 10th debut anniversary. The singer is set to hold his solo concert 'IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2' from August 4 to 6 at the Goyang Stadium.
