Siniša Krajnović: We Want to Be a Driver of Competitiveness in the High-Tech Sector!

Siniša Krajnović, president of the management board at Ericsson Nikola Tesla, views his role at the helm of a company with a 77-year legacy as a significant honor and responsibility. He leads a workforce of approximately 3,000 individuals, predominantly highly educated engineers, with 96% holding university degrees. A substantial number, around 1,500 employees, are dedicated to research and development, while over 2,000 focus on software development.

First and foremost, I must say that it is an exceptional honor to lead Ericsson Nikola Tesla, a company that has been synonymous with high technology and innovation in Croatia for 77 years.

Krajnović detailed the company's collaborative structure, explaining that about 1,500 Croatian specialists work closely with colleagues globally within Ericsson. Additionally, around 500 development engineers work on independent projects, primarily focused on the digital transformation of Croatian society and public systems. These teams possess autonomy in developing new solutions, fostering a culture of mutual learning and informed decision-making.

Ericsson Nikola Tesla aims to maintain its status as a successful part of the global Ericsson organization and strives for a leading position within it. Krajnović expressed a desire for Croatia to be a top choice for global decisions regarding the most competent development centers. His prior experience leading Ericsson's global R&D for seven years underscores the importance of quality, innovation, reliability, and timely delivery.

Krajnović feels a strong sense of responsibility, shared by his colleagues, regarding the company's contribution to Croatia's economy and society. He takes pride in being part of Croatia's development narrative and acting as a catalyst for national competitiveness. High technology, particularly in information and communication technologies, plays a crucial role in societal, organizational, and economic advancement. Krajnović believes Ericsson Nikola Tesla significantly contributes to the development of a digital society and enhances the country's competitiveness.
