Sinkevičius: Democrats' task is to restore people's faith in politics

Virginijus Sinkevičius stated that the primary task for Democrats in Lithuania is to restore public trust in politics. He believes that the work of ministers is important, but equally crucial is the often-unseen effort of party members who form the grassroots.

Speaking on the "ELTA kampas" program, Sinkevičius stressed that as municipal elections approach, the party's focus will be on nominating strong candidates for mayoral positions and for municipal councils. He emphasized that these candidates must be capable of effectively serving and representing the people.

Sinkevičius expressed his strong belief in the value of broad participation from party members. He is confident that the party possesses many competent individuals whose insights and assistance can significantly enhance the party's strength and improve its analysis of national problems, leading to more effective solutions.

He reiterated that engaging party members and leveraging their expertise is the most critical objective for the Democrats. This approach aims to foster a more robust and responsive political organization capable of addressing the challenges facing the state.
