Six cars collide in Kaišiadorys district, woman taken to hospital

A serious traffic accident involving six vehicles occurred on the A1 highway in Lithuania's Kaišiadorys district, prompting a response from emergency services. The collision, which did not trap any individuals, led to one woman being transported to a medical facility for treatment.

According to the Kaunas Fire and Rescue Board, the incident was reported at 18:21. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the drivers of a "Toyota Avensis," "Mercedes GL 220 CDI," two BMWs, a "VW Passat," and an "Audi Q5" had been involved in the crash. The emergency crews took the necessary safety measures by disconnecting the batteries of all six vehicles.

The aftermath of the collision left the roadway littered with debris and covered in spilled oil. Responders worked to clear the road, removing the scattered fragments and cleaning up the hazardous lubricant. The exact cause of the multi-vehicle crash remains under investigation.
