SK Jerantut Jaya Crowned U-12 Girls' Netball Champions in Jerantut District

Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Jerantut Jaya has emerged victorious in the U-12 girls' netball championship organized by the Jerantut District Sports Council (MSSD). The triumph was significantly driven by the stellar performances of three key players: Puteri Nelissa Aishah Muhammad Anwar, playing as Goal Attack (GA); Nur Farisya Amani Salman, a strong defender (GD); and Ayesha Mohd. Fadzli, the sharp shooter (GS).

Their exceptional skills not only led the team to victory but also earned them individual accolades. Puteri Nelissa Aishah and Nur Farisya Amani were recognized as best players, while Ayesha was named best shooter. These three, along with two other teammates from SK Jerantut Jaya, have been selected to represent MSSD Jerantut in the upcoming Pahang State Schools Sports Council (MSSP) competition.

In the final match, SK Jerantut Jaya narrowly defeated SK Felda Tekam Utara with a score of 8-7. Earlier, they secured a decisive 12-6 victory against SK Felda Kota Gelanggi Dua in the semi-finals. The team's success is a testament to their hard work and the effective guidance of their experienced coach, Nurul Amalina Mohd. Rodzuan.

Jamalludin Baharun, the headmaster of SK Jerantut Jaya, praised the players' determination, resilience, and discipline. He highlighted that netball is a primary co-curricular activity at the school, supported by frequent inter-school competitions and friendly matches. This focus on the sport has enabled the team to excel among the 31 participating district schools. Training will continue to identify new talent for next year's competition.
