Slovenian skier Neja Dvornik chooses New Zealand for training

Slovenian alpine skier Neja Dvornik is set to undertake her primary snow preparation for the upcoming season in New Zealand. This marks a change from previous years, as she opted for New Zealand instead of Argentina for this crucial training period. Dvornik expressed confidence in her physical condition, stating she feels stronger and better prepared than at the same time last year, following a successful summer program and rehabilitation from an ankle injury that shortened her previous Olympic season. She has already conducted two training sessions in an indoor ski hall, where she felt a significant improvement in her skiing. Dvornik anticipates spending a month in New Zealand, aiming for approximately 25 days of skiing. She believes the change in training location will offer an opportunity for further development and a quality step forward in her skiing technique. The rehabilitation process for her ankle injury proceeded smoothly and according to plan, contributing to the complication-free completion of her conditioning phase. Dvornik is highly motivated to maximize her efforts during the snow training in New Zealand, recognizing its critical importance before the European glacier preparations and the start of the new season.
