Slovenian women's volleyball team defeats Slovakia 3-0 in European League semifinal first leg

The Slovenian women's national volleyball team has taken a significant step towards the European League final, achieving a commanding 3-0 victory over Slovakia in the first leg of their semifinal match held in Nitra. The team, coached by Italian strategist Alessandro Orefice, showcased exceptional form, extending their undefeated streak in sets throughout the tournament.

Slovenia dominated the match with set scores of 25-16, 25-24, and 25-16. Key contributors included Maša Pucelj with 14 points, Saša Sillah with 13, and Lorena Lorber Fijok with 10. The team's strong performance, particularly their effective blocking and a crucial 14-4 run in the second set, allowed them to overcome Slovakia's initial advantage and secure a vital away win.
