Paraguayan golfer Sofía García has secured her spot in the weekend play at the CPKC Women's Open, an official LPGA Tour event held at the Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, Canada. García, who is also preparing for the 2026 Odesur Games in Santa Fe, demonstrated resilience by making the cut in this significant professional tournament.

García began the event with a first-round score of 71 strokes, one over par. She then delivered a strong performance in the second round, carding a 68, two under par. This brought her total score to even par through the first half of the competition.

As of Saturday's third round, García was positioned around 57th place, maintaining an even par score. She is focused on concluding her participation in the Canadian event on a high note. The CPKC Women's Open features a par-70 course stretching 6,452 yards and boasts a total prize fund of $2.75 million.
