Former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Mukhtar Shehu Shagari, has lauded Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto for initiating a "remarkable and far-reaching transformation" within the state. Shagari specifically commended the governor's sustained efforts across key sectors including education, agriculture, healthcare, religious affairs, social welfare, environmental sanitation, and infrastructure development.

The programs and projects initiated under Aliyu's leadership are intended to directly benefit the people and lay the groundwork for long-term progress throughout the state's 23 local government areas.

Shagari pointed to the visible achievements across the state, particularly in education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, infrastructure, social intervention, and environmental management, noting that the impact is being felt in both urban and rural communities. He highlighted the investment in education, including school rehabilitation and the provision of learning facilities, as an "investment in the future of Sokoto State" that will equip the next generation.
