Solomon Islands coach Jerry Sam joins Labasa FC as Technical Advisor

Fiji's Extra Supermarket Labasa FC has significantly strengthened its technical department with the appointment of Jerry Sam, an experienced coach from the Solomon Islands. Sam joins the club as Technical Advisor, bringing a wealth of knowledge from his extensive work across the Oceania region.

His coaching background includes valuable experience with Fiji's national futsal and beach soccer teams. Furthermore, Sam was instrumental in the renowned Solomon Islands Kurukuru program. His involvement in the OFC Champions League, where he has coached clubs like Marist FC and Hekari United, provides him with deep insights into high-level regional competition.

The addition of Sam is expected to provide a crucial boost to the "Babasiga Lions" as they prepare to defend their title at the 2026 Extra Battle of the Giants tournament, which will be held in Ba. Labasa FC has been placed in a competitive group, facing Suva, Navua, and Nasinu.
