Sonora Santanera to play free Father's Day concert in Mexico City

The Gustavo A. Madero mayor's office in Mexico City is celebrating Father's Day with a free concert featuring the renowned Sonora Santanera, along with María Fernanda and Sonido Siboney. The event is set to take place on Sunday, June 21, at 2:00 PM on the alcaldía's main esplanade, offering free access to the public.

Sonora Santanera, known for their classic hits like "La Boa" and "Perfume de Gardenias," will headline the festivities. The alcaldía's headquarters are located at Cinco de Febrero without a number, at the corner of Fray Juan de Zumárraga, in the Villa Gustavo A. Madero neighborhood.

Meanwhile, economic activity is expected to surge in the capital for the occasion. The National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism of Mexico City (CANACO CDMX) projects a substantial economic impact of 5.506 billion pesos for the local commerce, services, and tourism sectors. Additionally, the Mexican Employers' Confederation (Coparmex) estimates that Father's Day celebrations will generate approximately 3.215 billion pesos in economic activity.
