Sony Sonjaya applies to become a justice collaborator

Former National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Inspector General Sony Sonjaya intends to apply for justice collaborator status in a corruption investigation. His lawyer, Krisna Murti, confirmed that they would submit a letter regarding this application on Monday, June 9, 2026.

Murti stated that Sonjaya's decision aims to fully disclose alleged corruption within the governance of the 2025-2026 Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. This step also serves to refute claims that Sonjaya orchestrated the alleged buying and selling of Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) points for the MBG program.

Investigators suspect irregularities in the MBG program's management, including the alleged sale of SPPG points, which reportedly caused state financial losses and benefited certain parties.

According to Murti, Sonjaya has already expressed his desire to become a justice collaborator during his examination at the Attorney General's Office. His testimony reportedly implicates several figures from executive and legislative circles. The investigation is ongoing, with prosecutors examining the flow of funds and identifying all involved parties. Sonjaya, Dadan, and Lodewyk are charged under the Criminal Code and the Anti-Corruption Law.
