SP Sports Park Ready to Host Media and Sports Bodies for Fiesta Piala Dunia Gol & Smash 2026

SP Sports Park is fully prepared to welcome dozens of sports media practitioners and members of national sports bodies for the Fiesta Piala Dunia Gol & Smash 2026. The event is scheduled to take place in Cheras on June 20.

Daniel Wong, the owner of SP Sports Park, expressed his honor that the venue was chosen to host the tournament. The fiesta aims to gather local media representatives and strategic partners of the Malaysian Sports Writers Association (SAM) as part of the 2026 World Cup celebrations. Wong stated that modern facilities are available to ensure all participants have the best experience during the event, which is co-organized with SAM.

The Fiesta Piala Dunia Gol & Smash 2026 will include two main events: futsal and pickleball. Eight futsal teams representing various local media organizations, along with sports bodies such as the National Sports Council (MSN) and the Malaysia Stadium Corporation (PSM), will compete. The futsal competition is expected to be a highlight, featuring media professionals who cover sports daily but will now showcase their skills on the court.

Pickleball will be contested in two categories: men's doubles and mixed doubles. This sport has seen a surge in popularity in Malaysia in recent years. The organization of the fiesta aligns with the excitement of the 2026 World Cup, set to kick off in North America on June 11. It also serves as a platform to foster camaraderie among local sports media, national sports agencies, and industry partners in a relaxed and harmonious setting.
