Spanish rider Brian Uriarte leads Moto3 practice at British Grand Prix

Spanish rider Brian Uriarte dominated the second free practice session for the Moto3 British Grand Prix at the Silverstone circuit, setting the pace with a blistering lap time. Uriarte, riding a KTM, clocked in at 2:09.847, edging out his compatriot and championship leader, Máximo Quiles, also on a KTM, by a mere 88 thousandths of a second.

The strong performance continued a notable day for Spanish talent in the Moto3 category. David Almansa, another KTM rider, secured the third-fastest time, just 156 milliseconds behind Uriarte. The session saw several riders testing the limits, with some experiencing minor setbacks, including crashes for Britain's Scott Ogden and Ireland's Casey O'Gorman at the notorious Turn 3.

While free practice sessions are primarily for bike setup and preparation for official qualifying, they offer a clear indication of rider form and pace. Uriarte's performance suggests he is a strong contender heading into the crucial qualifying rounds.
